My brother (who's 10 years my senior) went mental when I told him my first gig was Maiden in 1980. He tells me that he's always been proud of the fact that he took me to my first gig, and it was Saxon on the Wheels of Steel tour, at Bradford St George's Hall. My memory tells me that was later than the Maiden one, but I just looked it up (great thing, this Internet!) and it turns out he's right - so my first gig was actually 5th May 1980. But Maiden in Wakey was still the first one I went to unaccompanied. I promise to stop boring the List with this sh*t now...
