First I couldn't give a toss whether you think I have turned a corner or whether you misjudged me. With regards to the latter I have said numerous times that my main concern is this season on the pitch. I am (still) not prepared to sacrifice this season and risk us turning into a good League One side for the sake of 'anyone but bates' or for an unknown entity. Second, regardless of whose fault it is that we are in the position we are today, the FL are the ones who hold the key to us getting a team ready for next season. Not Bates, not KPMG, not HMRC, not you, not me. They need to see the situation is 'exceptional', allow us to trade players and to properly prepare for next season. They have not, presumably because they are hoping the seriousness of the situation will force it to be resolved asap and therefore avoid the protracted court case in which I suspect they fear the HMRC will call into question football creditors having preferential status. By doing so they are affecting MY club. It is all well and good sitting round in their ivory towers, planning junkets and spending our cash, but it is us, the fans, who are the lifeblood of the game and without us they would be huddling around 2 bar electric fires in a portacabin come December. So, in my opinion, the FL are able to grant Wise the ability to put together a team and a preseason, regardless of the off the pitch bollocks, and they should do immediately. The fact they hadn't pisses me off. I therefore feel entirely justified in writing a pissed off email to them. I was not abusive, I was passionate. They have the right of reply, to tell me where I am mistaken, to alleviate my concerns, but they haven't done so to date. And finally, in response to a comment you made in another email, yes I would be fucked off if another bidder gets the club this afternoon and then Bates challenges it, if that challenge affects us on the pitch. As far as I am concerned they can all get in a few tins of baked beans and have farting competitions to decide who owns the club, as long as they don't jeopordise further our season. That is my position and has been so from day one. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
