AFAIK incoming transfer money from outgoing player transfers are held by the football league and released to whoever regains the golden share. The choice they were faced with is a wider choice than that. Perhaps the FL is taking legal advice to check if they still have a wider choice than that. As I have said before, somebody or some-thing has prevented the FL from using their unusual circumstances clause and that has cost this club approx £40 Million of inward investment from what I understand.
