And just what did that achieve that was in any way positive for the football
club or supporters like me who would prefer an old cnut in charge of Leeds
United if it means we have a club to support and/or have a chance for
promotion this season?

Apart from partly assuage your hatred for Bates that is?

I believe your direct actions have influenced this whole saga to drag on
longer than might otherwise been the case, they certainly haven't shortened
the process.

That is why I, like others, are fucked off with the whole thing.

Bates may be a total tosser, but I don't really expect LUFC owners to be
anything other than tossers. I had higher expectations of fellow Leeds
United supporters. The only justification for (even risking) dragging out
the process is to suffer some pain now for the sake of next season or beyond
- ie sacrifice this season's preparations cos after that we will be rid of
Bates. That is simply a difference of opinion, given that football owners
no matter what scarf they might wear are liable to be in it for the money
and/or or their egos, history would tell us that we are just as likely to
get incompetents or wankers in charge next time too.

In other words, for the sake of clarity on my position, and I believe others
too - we don't 'like' Bates, given a clean slate we wouldn't choose him as
our owner, however he was/is the owner and in the absence of a clean
transference we would be better to just make do with what we have got at the
moment (or 'deal with it') and get back to arguing about players and
formations.

Its a bit like global warming, you might like to think you have some control
over it, but ultimately inconveniencing yourself to recycle your pop bottles
aint going to make any difference at all whilst India and China build coal
fired power stations every day of the week. You wont stop Bates owning the
club, you are insignificant in the grand scheme of things, you are
powerless. All you can do is collectively delay the inevitable, but by
causing that delay you are pissing off people like me who want to just
forget about the whole fucking thing and stick to getting depressed about
the football on show.
