Aye and it's a common reaction for veggies to classify themselves as something other than an omnivore.

An omnivore is a species definition, it defines the general diet that the whole species is able to eat and digest, etc.

You do not stop being an omnivore just because you stop eating meat unless you have you suddenly transmogrified into a giant panda.

My 15 year old son is a veggie, having chosen to give up meat during Glasto 2007, at which coincidently he met Wiggy (not sure who/what is to blame for the conversion) and I have had the discussion with him about supplements, Quorn has as much protein in as meat. It has to be said that his quorn fillets don't taste the same as my swordfish steaks.

On the plus side for veggies (or negative if you are a bloke), it has been proved that meat eaters produce the smelliest farts but in less quantities than veggies.

None of the veggies I know take supplements Tim.

It is a common reaction for omnivores, on being introduced to a veggies, to warn us of the importance of a balanced diet.... as if it matters not for meat eaters!

My wife is an omnivore but both of us pay careful attention to what we eat. I think this is important for everyone. Have you read Eric Schlosser's Fast food Nation?
