Remember it?

I used to sell the buggers from my pitch at the top of Albion street just
outside the doors of the Leeds & Holbeck - and a bloody cold Saturday job it
was too! I gave it up after a few months as I missed the football too much,
hard to be reading about it and not having been there - so I took up selling
programmes and raffle tickets for Leeds United, then later being supremo of
the Fullerton car park (not a great job but you got in the ground free to
see the game)

Who remembers the Yorkshire Evening Post and Yorkshire Evening News trucks
banging out the football results on the stop press on the backs of the
newspapers.
And later on in the streets all round Leeds blokes yelling and selling
"Green Final".
What a great paper that was for YorkshireSport. It was all printed and sold
within a couple of hours of the games finishing.
