I looked up the link to try and "date" my first match at Elland Rd - I thought it was 1968 or 1969 against West Ham in the league and was nil-nil. I think I'm wrong on all counts ;) Could it have been Burnley or (unlikely) Aston Villa? Could it have been a cup game or even a friendly? I remember we got into the ground late and probably left just before the end, so could there have been a glut of early and late goals that have passed me by all these years. I'll probably never know.
Peter Castlehouse used to host a "lister's birthdays" web page. That must have been a long time ago too because I was a "dirty gertie" and now I'm 48. Does the page still exist anywhere?
