If this alleged phone call is true - why the fuck would we sell our best player
and still have not received any money for it yet ? Sounds incredible when you
think about THorpe Arch and the immediate need for some good signings to help
with promotion ? I remember at the time Bates saying that he sold Delph to
Villa because they have behaved impecably unlike Chelsea and Man City. No doubt
Chelsea or Man CIty would have paid up-front.

Subject: Re: [LU] Got to be worried

Whilst I AM worried - hence my original post I have certainly not given up hope
just yet - and I certainly donot advocate sacking Grayson - his record over 46
games from Boxing Day 08 to Jan 10 amassed over 100points and saw us unbeaten
at home - just a real shame that those 46 league games could not have been in
the same season !
As for Beckford I was strongly on the side of keeping him since I could not
imagine replacement who would be as good - how much of our 'demise' is down to
Beckfords poor form as opposed to poor service to him is open to debate but
there is still time for him to come good and get us the goals that will see us
scramble over the line.
As for the money we have received the alleged phone call from Bates to a fan as
recorded on some message boards suggests we have not actually received much of
it yet - and don't forget Grayson did say money was available in January but
did not feel we needed to use it since we were so well placed in the league at
the time
Dave

KFC should have acted several games ago and brought in a new manager. We should
also have sold beckford for whatever price we could have gotten at the
beginning of the year. The gamble is not paying off.
