      Tim did you ever find Mike Pung's birds-mouth calculator? (I no longer 
have it on file,) 
      But If I remember correctly,  You put in the numbers in the set up,size 
of column number of staves... This calculator you give you all the dimensions 
that you needed to make a column. All in one step.
