Hi guys
Just a small input on the overall length of the machine and the resulting
between centres measurement, Andy and I discussed this a couple of times and he
felt that it was at its maximum.
Will now turn the radar off and go into stand-by mode.

Radar Roger

I'll have to look and see if I can put flats on a 8" say 5 sided object. I'll
have the extra rail to make the y-axis longer, but I don't want the machine to
get too wide. I need to make mounts for the bed. They are going to work with
my model 200 rotary table that I've never shown.

not sure what you mean by carriage clearance but as far as y axis yes it is
long enough to suit your extension the original y axis rails have 2 inches of
travel past center I just checked , so you will still have a half inch to
spare.not sure about the gears, you will have to try them and see if there will
still be enough adjustment length to suit them all but im fairly sure there
will be
it looks very good so far by your drawing you might be making 2 lots of these
brackets yet hint hint lol.
I do encourage you to put a few inches longer y axis rails on the revo too,
makes the mill more versatile for liner work on a table too i used 2 rails from
2 template rail mounting kits it was the cheapest way to buy rail at the time

    Hi Bill,

I'm going back and forth with motorizing it. I'll be using a shorter
version than normal with the Revo so my thinking is I can reach the other end
of my stock with my arm so, probably no motor. I am a lazy guy at heart and I
have the extra parts, so I'm not ruling the idea out either. Maybe I'll add
some additional pem inserts on the headstock to accommodate a motor.

I'm attaching an idea for a headstock that extends the spindle out 1.5". I
have not checked to see if this will work with the carriage clearance and
y-axis length. To be honest, I need to put my Revo together! I'll get the
details worked out soon.

You will notice I can add another index pin and make an additional 20 hole
index. That gives me the 5 and 10 that I use pretty often. Now I will have
1,2,3,4,5,6,8,10,12,20 and 24 indexes.

Great I look forward to see what you come up with. Have you considered
motorizing it then you might not need to worry about a swapping head and tail
