hi legacy woodworking! (sorry, don't know your name)...yes, that is/was a 
problem...but i found when you put some lateral pressure on the router 
carriage in the opposite direction  you are going, you will not experience 
any slipping...but then again, i was only using it to do milling 
cuts(fluting and reeding)...so all of my cuts were somewhat shallow...i 
would advise anyone not to use it for turning work, where the temptation is 
to take heavier cuts...joe
