Thanks Bill, looks like this is the route I'll be going. :(

But I do like your example with small letters instead of capitals. The small
letters let the numbers stand out more.

Rob,  Sort or file your number by:
ms00001
ms00002
ms00003

This will keep everything numerically. Just start with enough zeros in front
my file has 6 figures so started with  000001
