Perhaps an area could be set up where users could submit their timeline files (with a brief description and the originator's e-mail) for others to download, but with a caveat that the timelines are not sanitized - use at your own risk.

What we actually need (and I think someone else mentioned it a long time ago) is a Timeline Exchange that people can submit their self-crafted timelines to for use by other people.
