Since these are Government records, shouldn't we have the right to

pay a third party for the access? Just wondering if anyone knows how
this all came about.

The ability to view and copy actual census images makes the Ancestry
subscription worth it. Just consider the cost of traveling to
libraries in othere cities to vew and copy these records or the time
involved in writing for copies.

Is this worth joining? It's sort of expensive. Is the free trial
period (abt 14 days) long enough to give it a fair trial?
