If I am not sure about someone in my tree I will sometimes make them Private or Invisible until I am sure of the details.
The most common report that I use is the Individual Report with the selected people tagged. If one person is Invisible then the report stops with a message about being unable to proceed because the Starting Person is Invisible (or something like that). I have to change them to Private which then wastes a virtually blank page in the report. Couple of other comments It does not seem to be possible to do a Search for people marked as Invisible Also it would be handy if something was displayed in Family View when one of the people on screen is Private or Invisible. Would it be possible to include tags in reports? I use one tag to mark those people in my "Family Line". This could be done by either displaying the "Tag Description" or a simple x2x4xxx to show which tags are set for the person.
