Jenny, I have done it. Now, can I delete the one Legacy file that has only two names in it? Plus can I delete all the saved files to my C: drive that I don't want or need?

What I was doing was each time when I went to exit I was saving the file to the c: drive and thus have 12 to 15 that really are not needed. I really only need one saved file because I have one on my flash drive.

I appreciate your clarity. Barb

2. When I click "My Computer" and hard drive C: - there are 3 files
with the Legacy icon - the one I want is the one with 234 names as that
is the one I'm working on.

SO now what do I do? I would like to have what is in the drive C in my
Legacy file so that when I click on the Legacy icon it automatically
comes up to the family I am working on.

Open the Legacy program. If it opens with a Family File already loaded
which is not the right one, click on File>Close Family File, then click
on File again and this time select Open Family File. If the one you
want is not showing navigate your way to where the right file is, which
is C:\ according to your message above, so easy to find.

Having opened the file, got to the menu bar and select
Options>Customise... If the General tab is not the open one, select it.
About half way down on the left, under Starting Family File, click on
the radio button for "Open last used family file automatically." Click
save.

When you have finished working on the file just close Legacy, either
without saving or by performing a Backup - Legacy will ask you if you
want to if you have made any changes to the file. Next time you open
the Legacy program the correct Family File will open automatically so
you won't have a problem with choosing the wrong one.

Just remember that if you *do* open a different file at any time, that
is the one which will automatically open next time, so you will need to
close it and open the correct one.
