Off the top of my head, I am left wondering: if I cannot find a SourceWriter template that produces the desired results without an override, and I don't want to use the Basic format (primarily because it will not generate a Subsequent Citation), what is the alternative? Is there a free-form "create your own source template" option hidden in Legacy that allows you to have a Master Source, a Subsequent Citation, and varying Details that I have missed? What would be the purpose/in what circumstances would one use a Master Source override, since the Details will always "disappear."? How _do_ you fudge a template?

I believe I have previously expressed a desire for something like a "create your own template" to cater for all those occasions when the Legacy ones really don't serve.

It's interesting that this thread has arisen now, because only a couple of days ago I ran into this problem of not being able (satisfactorily) to override the Master Source. I was wanting to delete a line from the Master Source (by override) and use the corresponding field in Source Details to write some other information. Can't be done! Annoying because it would have saved me having to override the Source Details every time I wanted to cite that particular type of Source.

I simply don't see the reasoning behind overriding the Master rendering the Details unusable.
