Not true. But she should put them in their own directory and not the root. Usually the Legacy backups would go into the Legacy\Backup folder. I have almost all my genealogy files in C:\Roots\ and prefer it that way. If windows gets corrupted and I have to reinstall then my files are still in that directory and its subfolders as opposed to My Documents which is usually not recovered after a windows reinstall. Can you click on the buttons and redirect your backups to somewhere else? -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
