This is actually a Windows thing. Clicking the checkblox control turns it on or off and the control is a little more than the white space in the checkbox and includes the label "Private". From the looks of it, the team has made the control as tight (minimum grey space on all sides) as they can get it.

But there is something that just drives me nuts. It's the "private" box at the bottom of the individual screen. If you accidentally click just near it but not inside the box itself, then you accidentally end up with people coming up private and when you have a huge file of people it's impossible to find the ones you have accidentally clicked private on who thus don't show up when producing web pages. This drives me bonkers. If it could be fixed so they are only "private" if you click in the box instead of near it, that would be super.
