Bjørn, What you say is true. On the other hand the XP memory management is much improved over previous Windows versions. When I was running Windows 98 I had 384M of ram and had lockups occur frequently. When I moved to Windows 2000 I had 384M of ram and still had lockups but less often. Since I moved to XP I haven't experienced any lockup problems. Sometimes it's not necessarily how much memory you have but what is eating up the resources.
As a side note, my ggrandmother and ggrandfather were from Norway. http://www.glsmall.com/genealogy/schmalz/156.htm Gordon www.glsmall.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bjørn Haaland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2005 4:25 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] First problems with Legacy 6.0 I have 1 giga memory in my computer (Windows XP) Before I start Legacy 6.0 I have 720 mega free (running some picture programs) After starting Legacy 6.0 I have about 668 mega free, depending on what I tries to do in the program. That says the Legacy is only using about 52 mega, and that should not be a problem on any computer.
