I compact my database every time I save it which is usually once a day. I tried uninstalling Legacy, restarting the computer and reinstalling, but that didn't work, so now I'm about to try the complete uninstall. If I first uninstall, could I then instead of deleting the Legacy folder, just rename it to say Legacy Old? Patricia
Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] First problems with Legacy 6.0 Hi Patricia, Have you tried to compact your database? If that isn't the problem, I would recommend to completely uninstall Legacy. Delete all files in and including the Legacy folder. Then re-install Legacy completely from scratch. Make sure to back up all your data & .USR files before deleting anything. Once you re-install, start Legacy and open your database. If there are no errors, then try copying one .USR file at a time back into the Legacy folder. Remember to close Legacy before you copy the file and re-open Legacy after. If there are no errors with each file, you should be back in business. If you experience errors after copying a .USR file, it might be corrupt. Delete that file and the system will re-create it with the default settings. You may need to re-do some settings.
