Excuse me, but I did look at the home site and there is no message board to
post messages and have the option for replies be sent to the one who posted
the message instead of thousands subscribing to the mailing list. Perhaps
people should take the time to completely read the message and make sure
they understand it before firing off a quick message.
I too would love to see the Legacy folks adopt a standardized Web Forum
that supports the ability to notify you of replies to threads you post in.
Some people simply do not like change and push against it. Web forums
are taking over all over the Internet and are killing Usenet almost
single handedly. While I don't like having to visit X number of places
for discussion, I do like the notification option which then cuts into
the need to visit forums randomly. It's great to also be able to see
topics neatly broken down into various sections. Version 6 could have
its own section. Tech Support could have its own section. General
Discussion could have its own section, etc. Plus searching is a breeze
with some nice power features to search with as well. Add to this that
we'd no longer get piles of messages to wade through and it makes sense
to a lot of people I'd bet.
