I have a couple of friends who also use Legacy and are quite happy to stay with Ver. 3 & 4 because all they want to do is enter data, print out the odd chart and keep it safe. Also the computers they use and the HD capacity is older technology, slow as old dogs but they are quite happy at that level (until they die, the computers, that is)....whereas I love the features of 6 but also have a whizz-bang machine and broadband. So I can see what Ros is saying. Unfortunately it seems to happen to popular software.....(Paint Shop Pro would be an example.....starts out small, loads quickly and is effective then grows so it takes forever to load, takes up 180mb plus the folder is sticks in My Docs and they move all the toolbars :o) private gripe) Perhaps the final builds of older versions such as 3 & 4 could make available for free download again.

Hello

Am I the only one in thinking that maybe, just maybe, it is time for a 'lite' version of Legacy. I mean, the free version doesn't do several things, but v6 at nearly 25Mb keeps crashing my computer, it has so many 'bells and whistles' - and I can't afford to upgrade to XP and get broadband.

Or can you go to the Legacy site and get older versions?

Of course, it would be a horrendous task to decide which features to keep in and which to keep out - but things like copying-to-the-Clipboard, the GeoLocation database could go...

What do others think?
