When I save a backup to my preferred folder, I am offered that folder when opening the next data file. In effect, it changes the default setting ... as you say Cathy, what is the point? I had some correspondence with Sherry c.2004 about this, but she didn't see it as a problem, just said I should save my backups to \Legacy\Data.
