Hi Mary,

That's interesting. I don't recall seeing this behaviour and can't reproduce it.
Once chosen, Legacy remembers my backup folder.

I personally wouldn't back up to my Legacy Data folder. It's not much of a backup if it's on the same physical media as your data. I backup to a folder on another hard drive then periodically cut the backups to CD.

Legacy offers me the last used data folder when opening a file rather than the default data folder. Actually it is changing the default data folder to the last one you've used. In my opinion, this shouldn't happen since we can specify a default folder.

I've been away, so just picked up on this. I'm so glad I'm not alone!
It drives me nuts. When I save a backup to my preferred folder, I am
offered that folder when opening the next data file. In effect, it
changes the default setting ... as you say Cathy, what is the point?
I had some correspondence with Sherry c.2004 about this, but she
didn't see it as a problem, just said I should save my backups to
\Legacy\Data. Going round in circles ... :-)
Cheers,
Mary Young
