Sherry: I followed your suggestion. Wspell.ocx was already in System32, but I replaced it. I still have the same problem. Sonetimes it shuts down the minute I hit the Notes icon, but most of the time it comes up with Notes, then I get the problem message I gave it the first letter. I repeat it here: Legacy Genealogy Software fo Windows Error Signature, AppName: legacy.exe ModVer: 5.30.23.1221 AppVer: 5.0.0.258 OffSet: 00005c91, ModName: riched20.dll.
My PC system is Windows XP SP2 with all the updates. I may not have my data and backup files set up properly. Do the Zip files belong in Data? Does only one file belong in Bakup? Which one? Do all OCX files belong in Data? I mved abput 27 work data files into Data from my Windows 98 PC a few weeks ago. That possibly caused the problem. Any suggestions wil be apprieciated. Thank you.
