That would be a good solution except that "Tab Order" is flawed in most, if not all areas of Legacy. So, to get to the next logical button you need to tab repeatedly and watch the focus bounce around illogically - It seems the programmers just haven't been paying attention to it.

For the particular example of the source detail dialog, you can in fact hit the Tab key until the button labeled "Today's Date" is highlighted (gets a blue border), and then hit the Enter key to enter today's date. This is not obvious because you would expect the button to be highlighted after tabbing out of the "Recorded Date:" field, but it isn't, you have to tab through several other fields first.

On the next screen, too, you can tab until the Close button is highlighted, and then hit Enter. (But it might be easier to use the mouse!)

Tabbing around is probably not what you would like best, but it does work.
