Hi,

I have updated #561 to clarify the rationale behind this proposal and
include some links. Feel free to update/comment as needed. In [1] we
have discussed how such integration could work. It's difficult to keep
track of all enhancement proposals, so hopefully making a recap of the
important info in the GitHub issue will keep the efforts focused without
resetting ourselves on the why's and how's, or at least taken into
account what has been discussed on that matters before.
