So: our times are ~identical, ie same despite 4.3GB / 30GB HDDs
So: Win'2K does boot faster that Win'98 in a 110 Libretto with 64MB RAM...

My Win'2K shutdown is in the order of:-
-- via "Start" menu:- a fraction under 20 seconds in total
-- on/off button:- about 6-7 seconds in total

I say "in total" because the last two or three seconds seem to be down to
the Libretto itself doing whatever it has to physically do to actually power
down and extinguish the lights above the on/off button.
