I'd simply follow what the drive maker tells you. They have all the tools, tips and guidelines as to what will work with their drive, and even provide the necessary software to make it work - if it can w/o extra hardware. The key here is if you're worried, simply install the drive, format the entire thing, install OS, then use any drive HEX editor or any other program that'll write stuff to the entire HD and test it completely! (even a basic format /u should do it) You'll know right away if the install tips worked, and if you need to worry. Otherwise, that's it. --- Keep in mind that with XP, you'll need SP1 installed first to see the entire 160GB HD. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
