You can drop in anything up to the latest 120GB HDs.  XP/2000 will handle the
size automatically; same with Linux; other older OSs will need a disk manager
(or one of the formatting workarounds posted earlier).

Only thing you must do is to make two partitions; one before the 8GB
hibernation space; leave a space of 100-200MB; then make a second partition to
the end of the HD so that if the unit ever hibernates, the data stored won't
overwrite your files by mistake.
