It does, though -- this is rather an irritating issue with Director. When a DTS item is made nonvisible, sometimes you have to force a stage refresh to make it disappear. Quickest way is:

the stageColor = the stageColor

I'll just move it offstage, cuz the other bug was that a
visible=false text member with hyperlinks in it would interfere with
another text member that also had hyperlinks.
When a sprite is made nonvisible its behaviors are still active, IIRC, so yeah, if it's sitting atop another sprite you'll have to move it rather than 'disappear' it.
