its up and running, what i did: -configure kernel with ipv6 and qdio as modules. -then i get qdio.o and ipv6.o -insmod qdio -insmod ipv6 -download qeth-2.4.19-s390-1-may2002.tar.gz -tar xvfz qeth-2.4.19-s390-1-may2002.tar.gz -mv qeth-susekernel-2.4.19-s390-1.o /lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/s390/qeth.o -insmod qeth
