Peter, These kind of things is where a SFS filepool for the user A-disks comes in handy (and then not one of the standard system ones). Just create a new (global) filepool, lets say USERSFS and migrate the user data from minidisk into this filepool. Then define a real CTC from and to your first level system by for instance looping a fiber between two spare FICON or ESCON ports, Then attach one of the CTC sides to your second level system and do an ACTIVATE ISLINK on both first and second level. That will share the resources between first and second level and allow first and second level users to access their files. An alternative to the ISFC (ISLINK) cluster approach would be to install IPGATE first an second level and use IPGATE to export/import the filepool from first to second level.
