Actually, if you make them like this
SET PFx fconfig eth0 192.168.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 mtu 1500
SET PFy route default gw 192.168.0.254

Then you can parse the output of Q PF fairly simple, but also use it
to do thing by hand...
The TAG of a spool file (rather than a device) is also neat because
you can have another fairly low-privileged virtual machine punch the
file (and even withdraw it).

Anyone care to put the root password on a PFkey because "them" don't
allow auto-login of root and insist on changing it frequently?
