It is actually possible to run StarOffice as a Windowmanager staight on
top of X.
Quite similar to Win 95 actually (except less crashes)

Lyx beats Word ANY day of the week. Granted, I'm biased, having done a

No, I'm equating FRAUD (in the form of puffing up Windows as better
than it actually is, and degrading Linux as being incapable of that
which it already doing) with THEFT.
In case you don't see the connections, laws against fraud are based
on the premise that it is theft.

Let's make this short:
And theft is slavery. So you propose killing every employee of every
advertising agency in the planet.

Actually, if fraud was the same thing as theft, there wouldn't
be any fraud laws.

A large part of the purpose of an advocacy newsgroup it to put all the
garbage in one group to keep it from spilling over into the other more
serious groups. You have to expect flames etc in these groups.
Advocacy groups are intended for the vocal minority who often have nothing
better then to yell at anyone they don't like. This is not an indication of
the linux community it is an indication of those who want to just bitch
about things.
Mac, OS/2, windows, linux, unix etc advocacy groups all tend to be very
harsh places. However much of the people here support linux I think are
being paid by ms to do so. They did that to OS/2 to kill it off by
pretending to be supporters they did more damage then trying to attack it.
So in general take everything you see in this group with enough salt to
choke you no matter if it is good or bad since a lie is easier to swallow
surrounded by the truth.

Really?
I *never* had problems with this.
I used to dual boot between 2000Beta3 & NT, each on different HD, neither
had a trouble booting when it was slave (all I needed to do was to change
boot option on the BIOS), the primary master was always c:, until I got
tired of that and moved it.
Later I removed the NT HD, and for a while I used 2000B3 from slave (boot
sequence, C,A,CDROM), and it didn't have a single problem with it.
Win9x goes by the boot order in the BIOS, BTW. (If the BIOS is set to
(D,blah, blah) the second bootable HD is C:, the rest follow its leadership.

Like I'm gonna go on a cross-country hunt to find some some leftist
welfare mooch in a trailer park who is such a coward that he prefers
to refer to himself as a non-human primate rather than reveal his
true name.
By the way, the whole thread was a MOCK vote to demonstrate to Sliverdick
the dangers of the democracy which he's always prattling on about.

In my job as a welfare worker I have close contact with the family
support office. Some while back we had some training from that dept.
Of course, we always try to get the aided mom to fess up as to who the
absent father is but sometimes they just don't want the "poor fellow" to
have to pay child support so they refuse to give his name. The trainer
told of us some woman who did that. Claimed she had no idea who the
father was but it was suspected that she really did. Fellow got killed
in an accident and his family sued. Got a big settlement. Suddenly the
mom of his child decided maybe it was time to come out with the truth.
Showed up at the Family Support Office with copy of his driver's
license, his work history, etc. Wanted to get some of the settlement
for her child (and self, or course). Chuckle. Too late. No DNA had
been taken from the remains of dad so she had no proof. We just loved
the story and I have since used it on reluctant moms.
