What's the point of comparing something unreleased and not legally
obtainable to 99% of the population with a rival product that's available
now - don't forget that by the time it's released Mandrake will probably be
on at least version 8.2 and will have had plenty of time to improve the
system. Mandrake Kicks Win2000 SP2's ass now and will kick XP's ass by the
time it's released too (with none of the authentication bullshit designed
to piss users off - If my PC dies and I upgrade why should I have to buy
new copies of the OS and Office suite I already own).

Depends... if you've got a connection to a remote machine, like say via
telnet, rlogin, rsh, or ssh, than X is by far the easiest method if
doing this, IMO. Of course, you can run all these services w/X11 on any
machine, even Windows, so you may argue it's just as easily done on any
platform. Most unix systems come standard with all of these, however.
Also, I believe you can do this with Java, although probably with
restrictions for security purposes, however.
