Of course, now *we* all know that there *is* a freak hacker out there,
that he has a hack, and that it can be dangerous. Presumably the FBI
could prosecute *us* for "failing to provide information in a timely
manner regarding a dangerous software bug". (The fact that we
don't know his name, handle, modus operandi, wishes, pets, and
even whether he goes to sleep at a reasonable hour -- i.e., 4 AM --
is a minor detail.)

Lovely thought -- is George Orwell still alive? :-)

It's MUCH MUCH MUCH more prevalent in male homosexuals than the

That's a good point. The govt. should support more than the wealthy
people who can afford new computers. They should support everyone.

Our (sadly, soon to be re-elected) prime minister is a self confessed
technoklutz. Hardly a great start. He [was/is] the fscking prime
minister, and he should make it his job to learn since it is such a major
thing.

This doesn't make too much sense.

Well, MS would never pull out when they could keep charging more and more
in the knowledgt that they have to keep paying...

What has this got to do with British Intelligence (either the
secret-service kind or the common sense average kind)?

I think our govt. is run by a bunch of idiots. All politicizing and spin
and no real work. The only trouble is that 99% of the people with decent
brains are also birghe enough not to get involved in poloticsd in the
first place.
