It has nothing to do with Linux and everything to do with Logitech.

Mabey so, but as it happens, Linux is great on the desktop.

One of the most important things I learned about computers and one of the main

I said: "I see an Apache server has been hacked."
The article says:
"Gaining control of this SSH server, which provides a Unix command line
interface for remote administration of Web servers, allowed Fluffy Bunny
(in his words) to "sniff my way onto apache.org and SourceForge Web
server and leave all sorts of goodies in the code".
So, Apache.org and SourceForge have both been hacked. What may I ask is
apache.org running? Apache? Hmmm?

I am not a troll. Apparently you cannot even read. Go back and reread

What does it say? It says both SourceForge and Apache web servers were
hacked. Apache.org runs Apache!

Seems to indicate both SourceForge and Apache have extra code added.

No, it does not say that. It says that the _machines_ running those
sites were hacked, not that the web server was the entry point.
The Apache and Sourceforge people are saying that the attack was based
on sniffing passwords. Someone's ISP was hacked and due to carelessness
or whatever, this gave the attacker a password on Sourceforge. They
then repeated the technique to get into apache.org.
This is probably the most common break-in around. I've had it happen to
me. It is much easier to hack root if you can start from a legit shell
account. The admins are less likely to notice what you're doing for one
thing, and of course a local attack is usually easier than attacking a
network service directly.

No, over a huge issue of not having good accessibility for disabled
or otherwise different people who have different needs, including,
but not limited to input. Some people simply CANNOT use a regular
hand-held two or three button mouse. The trackball problem is the
tip of the iceberg.

No, we're saying that X doesn't have a good accessibility design (or
none at all) and that the windowing system shouldn't force requirements
on the hardware. This trackball was made to be a trackball. It works
in Windows because Windows doesn't have such silly limitations like
X.

With X, rather, and it's inability to cope with alternative input

Unfortunately, I'm not all that convinced that giving computers (i.e.
having the company install them on their desks) to non-techies is really
a good idea.
Daily I have to deal with people mailing Microsoft Word documents around
who would be (from looking over their shoulder when they're "working")
much more efficient using an IBM Selectric with a Courier ball.
