You only need these if you have more than one copy of diald running (for more
than one dialup link). If you only have one modem, it appears you don't need to
identify any ethertap interfaces in conf.modules.
Also, you don't need a /dev/tap0 as diald uses a socket rather than a proper
device. However, /dev/tap0 can be useful if you want to view the traffic going
over the link. Maybe in that case you would need entries in conf.modules.
