I'm one of those awful people that believes that an RPM should not install
configuration files for you (I'm so frustrated by RPMs that insist on
replacing my hard work with their guesses). I've got no idea where you
picked up this RPM (0.99.1-x would be more current). But I'd check the
/usr/lib/diald and /usr/doc/diald-0.99 directories for the sample files (I'm
sure there's a copy of diald.conf and connect).
