Setup DNS on the linux box and point the workstations to it. Change your
resolv.conf to point to it also. Set your DNS server as a 'forward only' DNS
so that it will forward legitimate requests on to your ISP's DNS servers when
needed, but in-house addresses will not trigger diald.
