DNS setup is no easy task :(

I have setup an example of config files for bind 8.1.2

The page is in danish, but the comments in the config files are
in english : http://www.sslug.dk/~frank/dnsbind.html

It seems to work on my debian 2.1 / linux 2.2.10
with diald 0.98.2 .
