Now the modem starts to dial when I request a webpage on the Internet from a client but when it tries to connect to my ISP the modem hangs up. It seems that it couldn't find my logins information to my ISP. And I wonder what tap (ethertap) is? Thanks for all answers and it feels like I am close to a solution... hopefully. // Martin Server: RH 6.1 Kernel 2.2.13 At 09:12 1999-12-04 -0500, you wrote: >Martin Nilsson wrote: > > > I changed remote to 192.168.1.55 and local to 192.168.1.54 and when I start > > the browser on a client the modem start to flash the diods TR, SD and RD, > > but it never connects to my ISP.
