Generally speaking updates to the stable kernel (2.2 right now) after
the second decimal place are just bug fixes, not new functionality (for
example, going from 2.2.9 to 2.2.10).

Similarly, Red Hat provides bug fixes to their existing releases at
updates.redhat.com, but new features wait for a new version.
