Actually they have released an alpha driver for Linux, you can get it
from http://linmodems.org/linx565a.zip. Not many people have got it
working yet -- binary driver problems. And it's the biggest module I've
/even/ seen for Linux!
On the bright side, there's a nicely reverse engineered open source
voice-only driver for Lucent modems, and a software modem stack is coming..
