Hi,
we've been running two W6LIs with two PPros each (one now has PPro
"Overdrives") without any trouble recognizing the dual CPUs. On my boards
(Rev. B), there is no jumper or BIOS setting that involves the number of
CPUs, so I don't think there's anything one could do wrong there. Here are
the ideas I can come up with:
a) Is the VRM for the second CPU installed properly/functioning at all?
Maybe check the temperature of the 2nd CPU - if it doesn't get warm at
all, it's not getting any power. (If you don't know what a VRM is, I think
I know where the problem is... ;)
b) Are the two CPUs of the same (nearly the same) stepping?
c) Is the BIOS version on the motherboard compatible with the stepping of
the PPro's? Some newer bioses can no longer work with "older" steppings
(and the Overdrives), whereas a very old bios might not correctly
initialize the CPUs.
