        I'm using an APC Smartups 700 here. Plugged in the serial cable,
downloaded an rpm of smupsd and made a symbolic link from /dev/ttyS0 to
/dev/ups and it worked without any problems whatsoever !!!
        It had around 30 minutes of power before it shut down (happens when
it's at 40%...you can set it manually)....
        However the prize was around 300 $ (2000 kr)...
