I just happen to have a fairly late beta driver package for the controllerless type vis:- hcfpcimodem-0.99mbsibeta02123100.tar.gz It worked quite well, i.e. over 50kBits, when I installed it on somebody's machine a few months ago. You'll have to crank the compiler though. > It just seems strange to me that Linux are getting bigger and better, but > they are still let down by the need of software support, and those that > are trying to monopolise modem support by making people pay for something > that should be readily available to anyone, should be shot. > Oh and i think ive solved the html thing...lol I don't think the amount of effort required to make a controllerless modem driver go equates to being deserving of the Death Penalty. Read http://www.linmodems.org/ and http://start.at/modem The're both very informative. -- Sincerely etc. Christopher Sawtell NB. This PC runs Linux. If you find a virus apparently from me, it has forged the e-mail headers on someone else's machine. Please do not notify me when this occurs. Thanks.
