We are not large enough in Oz to have that distinction. The Windows oriented 
PC mags (there aren't any other apart from Mac) offer Linux apps and distros 
on their CD' s as approximately 20-25% of their content.

The demand is sufficiently large that there is no 'linux' section simply an 
alphabetical list of applications this month. They are all mixed in and if it 
has a penguin logo next to it and you don't know what that means, tuff. 2 
years ago, the same mags would have a 'back of the book' section where an 
occaisonal mac or linux app could be found, now, they're in your face.

Linux's popularity outside the US is significantly larger than boomtown USA. 
It has very little to to with the goodness or otherwise of Linux, and a lot 
to do with xenophobia. Most people outside of the USA see Msoft as just 
another bit of American dominance.

Equally, I have also seen the reverse in the States where Linux suffers from 
the not-made-here syndrome. Considering Redhat dominance, both views are 
plainly skewed
